He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou find refuge: His truth is a shield and buckler
Psalms 91:4

Be it ours, when we cannot see the face of God, to trust under the shadow of His wings. C.H. Spugeon

Faith and Hope

"...what none can have for another, but for himself only."Romans 14:22 (NKJV)
22  Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves.

"It is a rare felicity to have a conscience untroubled by scruples" (Denney).

I believe it is impossible to impart faith and hope to another. Although others may see our faith in action, these very actions are motivated by the abiding presence of God's love and/or the belief that God's love is active and decisive with regard to the outcome of any given situation.
Faith is not a transferable attribute of a personal relationship with God. People tell of their faith in God but only in the context of how the love of God is expressed in their life. "For god so loved the world..."

Hope is of the same ilk or distinction. "Worry is transformed into worship. Fear turns to faith. Terror becomes trust. Hang-ups are resolved with hope. Anguish melts into adoration." Hope resolves the conflict between experience and expression. What is occurring in our lives is under-girded by our hope. Again that hope we have is "an anchor for our soul, sure and steadfast."
Romans 8:28 (NKJV)
28  And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Not just any 'good', but an ultimate 'good'.

" ...a believer's hope, which he awaits eagerly and steadfastly—is pointless unless realizing that goal is certain. God provided that certainty and confirms the believer's hope, ...which believers appropriate by faith."
