He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou find refuge: His truth is a shield and buckler
Psalms 91:4

Be it ours, when we cannot see the face of God, to trust under the shadow of His wings. C.H. Spugeon

Wisdom is Costly Experience

Experience is only experience when it becomes history, an event is only an event after it has 'come to pass.'
Wisdom is never gained passively, it is actively incorporated into life when we are cognizant of it's processes.
There must be a coherent effect upon our personal knowledge (wisdom) in every experience. God waste nothing.

Without Excuse

How many sermons have been preached, How many motivational speakers have addressed the issue, attempting to get people to rise above their circumstances, to stop making excuses, to quit reasoning away their inabilities, to grasp fully, life, with all, this is significant, with all its frailties and opportunities and engage in life for what it is - that being, simply life. Explain to me what other options exist??

Predetermination means.
1.The act of determining beforehand.

2.Something that has been decided in advance.

The debate surrounding the exegesis of the opposing concepts of predetermination and free-will are profuse and articulate. There have been many who have weighed in to the fray with profound arguments and persuasive rhetoric and as such have provided opportunity for many to form their own opinions and beliefs.

Second Generation

My Grandfather homesteaded at the turn of the century. At that time there developed a community of residents, farmers who were sharing mutual hardships and opportunities. A second generation inherited a large potion of those homesteads, settled in the fruit of their fathers labours, raised families, endured subsequent hardships and opportunities.

Third Generation

I am a third generation Canadian. My Grandfather having been born in Montreal and his father having been born in Scotland. In terms of time as related to other cultures and countries it is insignificant, as it only spans 125 years.
Unable to fully comprehend the magnitude of the journey that these men and families of that day undertook to leave their homelands and travel across a sea to a new, raw and ---- existence I can only speculatively reflect on their motivations. What could drive a man to attempt such a drastic relocation?
